The Phantom Menace - KR3W Phantom Watch

Not unlike the Triwa watches we covered awhile back, Kr3w keeps a classic look fresh by wrapping your wrist in plastic. The pics are from Active Ride Shop (more in the full post), but you can get these for about $50 US from any of the usual sources. Via [Highsnobiety]

Ninja Vs Pirate - Nixon Player Watches

Unless you have been residing underneath a megalith somewhere, you have already seen some iteration of the Nixon Player or Rubber Player watches. The Player watch design is probably my favorite Nixon watch layout aside from the "alias" look of their Time Teller model. I was perusing the internets when the black Rubber Player caught my eye. Matte black is always subtle yet sick, and I always feel compelled to post about any item that makes use of materials that I may not normally wear, in ways that mimic tradition while still maintaining a certain uniqueness. Of course when I noticed that watch I naturally progressed to the original Player watch in gold, and I couldn't take my eye off of it. On one hand the black Rubber Player is smooth and stealthy. On the other hand gold pops as my metal of choice... I am so torn. It's like the classic ninja versus pirate scenario. Difference in price ignored, if you could have only one of these watches, which would you choose? [Via 80's Purple]

Time For Fun - Triwa Watches

When I first saw the Triwa Maroon Gold watch online, I was like... "ok, this watch is kind of ill... but how did they get the band that color brown... almost amber"... Then I found out that it was plastic... and I felt a little weird. Triwa uses serious straight forward watch designs, but makes them in somewhat outrageous colors using plastic bands, which is great for those days when you want to coordinate and not take your watch so serious. Personally, I love what they have come up with. What say you? Via Triwa

Vintage Cyma Military Strap Watch

I saw this over at Asos and thought it was pretty interesting. A Vintage Cyma Military Strap Watch... This watch dates back to the 1950's after World War II and Cyma has been in business since 1862.... that's hot... What I like about this watch is the contrast. The evidence of almost 60 years of wear on the face gives it even more character. Notice the slightly raised circles above each number. The metal body of the watch is offset by the black dial with gold accents.  The combination of yellow and silver metals can get tricky, but it works well here with the green canvas strap. G-Shock 7800 Japanese Limited Edition

I have to say, as an adult, not such a big fan of G-Shock watches (or digital watches really)... that said, I would rock this one... The G-Shock 7800 Japanese Limited Edition ... hmmm... guess it's all in the stitch work here for me (see full post). Revolve has it for sale right now.

Issey Miyake Twelve Watch

I mentioned Issey Miyake in my previous post, so I decided to check out what they had going on on their website. I'm glad I did. I found a handful of very unique watches. The Issey Miyake Twelve Watch is the one that stood out to me the most, probably because it was the most simplistic. My personal favorite colorway after the jump.

GOURMET/ CHRISTIAN TSE Digital Watch

So I was checking out Highsnobiety a few minutes ago, and I saw their post about Gourmet and their new online shop. I saw some interesting kicks on there, so I decided to check out what Gourmet had to offer for myself. The first thing that caught my eye was this watch, which is a collabo by Gourmet and Christian Tse. I am super late, but the full diamond face on this thing is like digital crack. Make sure to check out their kicks as well.
